While enjoying a wise unemployed life in Hallim...
I visited Cafe Ongpo Jeongmiso in Hallim, Jeju.
There are many beautiful cafes and delicious restaurants in Hallim,
and it feels overwhelming to try them all.

I heard that Cafe Ongpo Jeongmiso offers traditional Korean snacks made from Jeju grains, so I decided to stop by.
In fact, this cafe is famous for its Meljeot Tteokkochi and Bingsu...
Their red bean bingsu, made with domestic red beans, is particularly renowned.
If you visit in summer, you must try the bingsu!
Interior and Atmosphere

I encountered a lovely cat on my way there.
So adorable!
The interior was quite spacious.
There aren't many large cafes in the Hallim area,
so if you're looking for a quiet, spacious cafe, Cafe Ongpo Jeongmiso is a great choice.
Drinks and Local Ingredients
We tried a latte and Jeju green tangerine ade!

The green tangerine ade is hard to manage and is only in season for a short time,
so if it's available, you should definitely get it!
Seeing that the green tangerine ade was still available, I quickly ordered one.
The owner of Cafe Ongpo Jeongmiso is a farmer,
and it seems they use their own crops to create and sell these drinks.
Cafe Ongpo Jeongmiso was established in 1971 with the support of the local residents of Ongpo.
Their goal is to sell Jeju grains and agricultural products,
which makes it even more interesting.
Traditional Snacks and Takeaway
The road leading to the sea offers a unique and beautiful view.

The signature item of Cafe Ongpo Jeongmiso is the Jeju traditional grain snack!
They sell a set of four in a box, so I decided to try one.
They look so beautifully crafted...
It seems like a perfect gift!
We bought four, one each, and they packaged them nicely in a box.
These snacks made from locally grown grains in Jeju feel like a contribution to the island.
The green tangerine ade I ordered was truly delicious,
but it’s unfortunate that it’s hard to find and only available for a short time.
I was so happy to enjoy it in Jeju, the land of tangerines!
I realized that there aren’t many places selling green tangerine ade.
Maybe it’s because it’s out of season.
We were too full for dessert, so we packed the snacks to enjoy later at the hotel.
They were individually wrapped and looked so appealing.
I even managed to bring some back in my suitcase without breaking them!
What a delightful experience!
