Charming Traditional Tea House in Chungmuro

Hello! It's a leisurely day~.~
Today, let's explore a retro tea house near Chungmuro.
If you enjoy the nostalgic vibe, this place is for you!
You can drink alcohol or enjoy tea if you prefer non-alcoholic options.
This traditional tea house offers great value and delicious flavors!
Let me introduce you to this lovely spot.
1. Location and Exterior
✔️Address: 19, Marunnae-ro 2-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
✔️Operating Hours: 10:30 AM - 10:30 PM (may vary)
✔️Parking: Not available
I sent the address for a second round of drinks, and it turned out to be a traditional tea house!
Exciting, right!? I searched for 'Traditional Tea House' on Naver Place.
The sign reads 'Traditional Herbal Tea House / Liquor'.
The sign alone raised my expectations!
I love herbal tea, especially the rich, herbal versions, not the convenience store ones.
Climbing the stairs to the second floor leads you to a spacious and cozy traditional tea house!
2. Interior Design
The comfortable seating was wonderful, and the spaciousness was delightful.
Though I haven't been to an old tea house, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting.
It felt like visiting a friend's home, where you can chat comfortably.
The owner is friendly and has a great sense of style, showing genuine passion for traditional tea.
I can't wait to go back after seeing the photos!
They also have various herbal liquors like black ginseng, dandelion, and more!
I need to ask about the prices next time since they weren't listed on the menu.
I love arrowroot liquor, especially homemade ones from my grandmother.
The quality of the ingredients here was impressive, and I felt proud to have found such a traditional tea house.
There's even a smoking room inside, which is a nice touch.
3. Menu Composition + Ordered Items
The menu featured a variety of homemade teas.
I ordered iced herbal tea, while others opted for a set menu with three beers and snacks.
✔️ Iced Herbal Tea: 8,000 KRW
✔️ Beer Set (3 bottles + snacks): 25,000 KRW
The snacks were fantastic!
The walnut dried persimmon was homemade by the owner, and it was delicious.
The chestnuts were of high quality, and I couldn't stop reaching for them!
The dried persimmons were beautifully shaped and moist, making them a true delicacy.
These snacks are also available for gift packaging, and I plan to buy some next time.
The combination of handmade snacks and beer was reasonably priced.
After a filling first round, these light and tasty snacks made the beer go down smoothly.
The iced herbal tea was refreshing!
The serving included a mini dessert tray, making it feel like a special tea experience.
The pine nuts were large and flavorful, and the jujubes added a nice touch.
Every sip of the iced herbal tea was delightful!
I highly recommend this traditional tea house!
I hope it doesn't become too famous, but I wish the owner continued success.
Next time, I want to try the arrowroot liquor and patbingsu!
In conclusion, I genuinely recommend this traditional tea house!
