Café Guden Guden
My own money, my own purchase
A café located halfway up a narrow staircase
I went again because my sister liked it the last time she visited.
But she can't remember the way...
We climbed the hill behind Hoehyeon and took a turn
with the help of KakaoMap to find Guden Guden.
Is there really a café here? Just as I started to doubt...
I spotted a small sign.
We went up the wrong way,
but going up from the main branch of our bank towards Namsan
is a flatter path and easier on the legs.
I’m not sure about other seasons, but...
Café Guden Guden fits well in the cold winter.
It's a small but warm café.
There are about 4-5 tables.
Is this what it feels like to find a small café in a quiet European town?
I try to imagine Europe that I have never been to.
We ordered Vienna coffee and lemon Earl Grey tea.
Caught up in the atmosphere, we opted for Vienna coffee instead of Americano.
The cups are gorgeous.
My sister said the tiramisu was delicious when she came last time,
but we didn’t order it...
They make it fresh when you order,
so it tastes good, but it takes a while.
When we arrived, three tables had already ordered tiramisu,
so it probably took a long time to prepare.
After the tiramisu for those three tables was served,
our coffee finally came out.
It's a café run by a very kind and serious person,
so it takes time, haha.
I thought this café shouldn’t have more tables than this,
but the problem is that more customers keep coming, haha.
It was full, but everyone waited patiently.
Next time, we talked about calling ahead to order tiramisu while passing by the bank.
I don’t know if they will do it,
but I just wanted to share that we wished we had.
