Antique Coffee: A Hidden Gem in Jamsil

Antique Coffee
After having lunch with a friend, we found ourselves asking, "Where should we go for coffee?"
I flipped through my wish list and remembered a cafe I had wanted to visit for a while.
Although it's a bit of a walk from Jamsil Station, I finally made the trip to Antique Coffee!
It turned out to be a shorter walk than I expected (about 15 minutes).
Here is my review of Antique Coffee, a cake shop in Jamsil.
• Address: 21-16, Baekjegobun-ro 41-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul
• Opening Hours: Daily from 12:00 to 21:00
The outdoor space is beautifully decorated, almost to the point of being extravagant!
Had I known it was this pretty, I would have dressed up properly instead of coming in casual attire.
I took a few pictures, and the lovely background made them turn out great!
Let’s head inside!
Antique Coffee has two floors. Upon entering, you'll see a display of baked goods and several tables.
The owner seems to love flowers, as they are beautifully arranged throughout the cafe.
The cakes are visually stunning! You can easily lose track of time just admiring them.
Some of the menu items include:
- Creme Brulee Pastry - 5,900 KRW
- Chestnut Basque Cheesecake - 8,900 KRW
- Cherry Chocolat - 8,500 KRW
- Blueberry Butter Bar Basque Cheesecake - 8,600 KRW
- Fig Earl Grey Chiffon - 8,100 KRW
I went upstairs since there were no seats available on the first floor, but every table was occupied by couples! The atmosphere was quite romantic.
I ordered:
- Iced Americano - 5,500 KRW (x2)
- Pistachio Fig Chiffon - 8,600 KRW
The fig was incredibly fresh and sweet, and the texture was soft. Overall, the quality was good, but the sweetness was overwhelming for me.
The pistachio flavor was buried under the intense sweetness.
My friend, who loves sweet treats, enjoyed it and finished it all!
In summary, Antique Coffee is all about the atmosphere. It's a perfect spot for taking photos with your partner!
That's all for my review of Antique Coffee in Jamsil!
