A Week That Turned Into Unforgettable Memories

This week was filled with small but meaningful moments, from surprise gifts at work to late-night snacks with a friend visiting from Changwon.
Between café hopping in Seongsu, karaoke nights, and spontaneous food plans, each day carried its own mood and memory.
Here’s a personal record of an ordinary yet unforgettable week, blending daily life, food, and emotions just as they happened.
A Sweet Start to the Week at Work
Monday began at work with an unexpected surprise.
A colleague returned from a trip to Hong Kong and handed out gifts, instantly lifting the mood.
It made me wonder if the week had secretly been declared gift week, starting everything off on a sweet note.
Late-Night Snacks and Seongsu Café Visits
On Tuesday evening, a friend came up from Changwon, and we prepared for several days of late-night snacking.
After work the next day, I rushed to Seongsu-dong to visit a café my friend had been eager to try.
These trendy cafés somehow feel even more exciting when visited with friends from out of town.
Friendship Gifts and First-Time Food Experiences
My friend even bought me a keychain, so we ended up with matching friendship keychains.
They were curious about vegetable gopchang, something they had never tried before.
In the end, the smell left a stronger impression than the taste.
Singing Away the Night and a Close Call
On the way home, we stopped by a karaoke room and sang our hearts out before heading back.
Recently, voice phishing scams have been increasing, and I nearly fell for one myself.
The caller claimed to be from the prosecutor’s office, and even the website looked real.
It was a scary reminder to stay alert and cautious.
Comfort Food, Coffee, and Desserts
To calm my nerves after that incident, I treated myself to a comforting bowl of bone soup.
Later, we stopped by a nearby café for coffee.
My friend insists on ordering dessert every time, so this visit ended with an egg tart.
A Quick Run to The Hyundai Seoul
Before my friend returned to Changwon, they wanted to visit the new Hyundai Department Store.
We made an early run, and it was my first time experiencing an open run there.
Seeing a long line from afar made me wonder if it was always that busy.
Unexpected Encounters and Famous Stops
As we got closer, we spotted Mimi, which instantly explained the crowd.
Inside, I was surprised when Mimi spoke to me while I was buying bread.
Since we were already there, we grabbed Five Guys and even stopped by Blue Bottle.
And just like that, my friend headed back home.
Small Wins and a Busy Saturday
I managed to secure two tickets for the highly competitive Infinite Challenge run.
It really felt like patience finally paid off.
Saturday was reserved for the liquor fair, so I made sure not to go on an empty stomach.
Liquor Fair, COEX, and Starfield Library
The fair was packed with people, and after buying more alcohol than planned, my stomach started to hurt.
I quickly grabbed something to eat before continuing to explore.
While wandering around COEX, I found a book with a title I instantly liked.
I also revisited the Starfield Library after a long time.
Ending the Week with Simple Pleasures
After returning home, I ate again and tried a drink using the glass I received at the fair.
The day ended with spicy rice cakes, the perfect late-night comfort food.
Finally, the mango I had received as a birthday gift ripened enough to eat.
One bite was enough to confirm it was worth every bit of its price.
