A Rainy Day Trip: Ittda Bakery & Bongseonsa Temple

A Friday afternoon sandwiched between the long Chuseok holiday – perfect for a little getaway!
I braved the autumn rain and headed to Namyangju to visit Ittda Bakery and Bongseonsa Temple.
I quickly checked Ittda Bakery's Instagram for the day's lineup.
Even though it was late on a rainy Friday, all the cakes were sold out... I ended up getting sourdough and Ittda macarons!
I wasn't sure if I was in the right spot since there wasn't a big sign, so I parked in front of the store.
There's a public parking lot in the middle!
After spotting the small signs, I finally made my way into Ittda Bakery.
Can you see the empty showcase since I arrived late on Friday… (tears) Being lazy is hard!
I carefully pondered at the kiosk and picked up the remaining macarons and sourdough.
I also bought an apple tart tatin, which is currently chilling in the fridge...?
The salted caramel macarons are seriously delicious. You should eat two, three, or even four!
I didn't realize there were so many types of sourdough!
I bought a bunch, feeling like it'd be healthy.
While the owner was wrapping everything up, I looked around the shop.
I also looked at plants with my mom.
Next time, I definitely need to go early and get some cake!
I almost went home because of the rain, but I quickly stopped by Bongseonsa Temple before closing time.
Autumn is slowly making its way here!
Bongseonsa Temple had so many cute moments that I was busy taking pictures!
My mom mentioned that Bongseonsa Temple's temple stay is famous... I suddenly felt a strong desire to go! I think I'll have to come back next time.
I bought a good luck bracelet for my sibling at the gift shop next to the Bongseonsa Temple cafe and got two hours of parking.
**Important: Parking starts counting as soon as you pass through the parking barrier at Bongseonsa Temple!**
Water hyacinths were blooming in the place where the lotus flowers had faded.
Even the sound of raindrops falling on my hand was lovely!
Autumn moments everywhere at Bongseonsa Temple!
Thanks to Ittda Bakery, I was able to capture wonderful scenery that you can only see when it rains.
Ending with a Haechi statue that reminded me of the Kedeheon's Haechi.
I want to go to Bongseonsa Temple again on a clear day... and I need to go back to Ittda Bakery for cake.
