A Memorable Visit to Jeju Dawon Tea Garden and Maze Park
Before heading to Jeju Dawon, I remembered a fun little maze game I played with my son, Jorang. His excitement during that game stayed with me, so when I heard about a maze park in Jeju, I rushed over.
After parking in the spacious lot, we entered the cafe, which had a wonderful atmosphere. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but this place is definitely worth a revisit. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
We enjoyed a traditional tea ceremony experience under the warm sun. Upon entry, we paid for the tea experience for both children and adults, and they beautifully set up fragrant tea and delightful desserts for us.
This time, the teas provided were:
- Jeju Green Tea
- Marigold Flower Tea
The green tea had a clean and smooth aroma, while the marigold tea had a subtle floral scent, making it perfect for enjoying with my child.
The desserts included:
- Tangerine Chocolate
- Matcha Muffin
It was a perfect moment, especially on such a sunny day.
We spent more than two hours at Jeju Dawon. Just looking at the desserts made me so happy!
My son poured me tea, and the warmth of both the tea and the sun made us feel relaxed. After a long drive, my son needed a break, and we decided to challenge ourselves at the Jeju Dawon Maze Park!
The maze has five levels, with each increasing in difficulty. The first level is relatively easy, making it quick for adults to complete, and children can navigate it comfortably.
At the exit, there’s a bell for the first person to arrive. The second level is a fun challenge for kids, and my son was eager to race through it, suggesting we have a competition to see who could escape first.
The third level was intense, with a completely different experience. The dense foliage obscured my view, and I felt genuinely lost. But my son confidently led the way, assuring me he knew the right path.
After successfully navigating the third level, my son excitedly suggested we tackle the fourth level. However, the difficulty spiked immediately upon entering. The foliage was taller, the paths were complex, and the atmosphere felt jungle-like.
Despite feeling a bit intimidated, my son stayed close to me, leading the way. However, our phone battery dropped below 10%, which was quite alarming. After about 30 minutes of navigating, we miraculously escaped the fourth level!
We hugged each other, thrilled by the adventure. We decided to save the fifth level for another time, as my son, being a proud five-year-old, suggested we try it next time with his dad. We had walked for over an hour and a half, making it a day to remember.
In summary, the maze park, nestled among green tea fields, offers various levels suited for children. The warm tea ceremony experience made our day perfect. I highly recommend Jeju Dawon for families visiting Jeju!
